Bar admissions: Mr. Cullen was admitted to the Florida Bar in January, 1976; the Bar of the U.S. District Court, Southern and Middle Districts of Florida in 1977; and was admitted to the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court in 1993.
Education: Mr. Cullen received his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami in 1973, and went on the attend law school at the University of Miami School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor degree in 1976.
Mr. Cullen is a member of the Monroe County and American Bar Associations; has served three times on The Florida Bar Grievance Committee District 16"A," serving his third term as Chairman of that Committee. In 1995 he returned to college where he became a certified EMT so that he could more effectively volunteer his time with the Key Largo Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He served for six years on the Board of Directors for Mariners Hospital in Tavernier, FL; has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Florida Keys Childrens Shelter; and is presently a member of the Board of Directors of the Key Largo Volunteer Ambulance Corps
He became a Mediator in 1990 after completion of the American Arbitration Association's Mediation Training Course. He continues to practice family law mediation. In 2008, he was appointed by the Chief Judge of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit as a Special Magistrate dealing with mortgage foreclosures where the home owner is unrepresented by counsel.
